My College Stress First-Aid Kit

It's my second year in college and I deal with the pains school brings me almost every day. Why not blog about it and maybe help some others out along the way?

Study in sections

I once heard a tip that said you should study for 20-30 minute periods. Then take a small break. I definitely think this tip helps.

Even if you prefer to study for hours at a time, try to take twenty or so minute breaks. This helps your brain soak in the information. You're literally giving your brain a break.

Its better this way because after so long, your brain can only absorb so much. So, you may think you're studying, but you're probably just reading your material.

Remember people, take breaks while studying, it helps I swear. Eat some healthy brain food on those breaks. Or take a nap, or go on twitter, or take a walk. Whatever floats your boat.

  1. This is good advice I've heard before, and it does help.

  2. I've always tried to do this but it never works for me! My 20 minute break turns into a 2 hour break... Oops.

  3. Same sometimes. That usually means a two hour nap for me.
