My exams are all starting next week. And by all next week, I literally mean they are ALL starting next week. I have a test the 11th, 12th, and 13th. Not to mention that the 12th is my Birthday...Happy Birthday Taylor. Well I found another cool post on Every College Girl on what snacks to eat for which kind of mood your in for a week full of tests. I thought it was pretty interesting, and probably something many of us can find useful.
So if you're feeling stressed, heres the snack for you:
Believe it or not, eat some chocolate. Research has found that eating a few squares of dark chocolate lowered cortisol, a stress hormone, and catecholamines, reducing anxiety. So, remember to pack some chocolate in your book bag on your way to an exam.
If you're feeling anxious chow down on some of this:
Something rich in omega-3 fatty acids, like a salmon burger will clear that anxiety right out of you. Omega-3's have been shown in studies to reduce anger, and even clinical depression. If salmon isn't for you try a different cold water fish like herring, mackerel, or sardines. Personally, I think this looks delicious.
Eat this is if you're so over everything:
Letting your blood sugar get too low can take a serious toll on your mood. This combination of food provides protein, and a little fat, which can slow the digestion process and help your energy and sugar levels remain stabilized. Making you not so Scroodge like.
