My College Stress First-Aid Kit
It's my second year in college and I deal with the pains school brings me almost every day. Why not blog about it and maybe help some others out along the way?

The dreadful alarm
Getting up early is such a buzz kill. Theres something about setting an alarm the night before that is so upsetting. Tomorrow will be the third day in a row that I've had to wake up at seven, and I'm really not feeling it. There is always the option of going to bed earlier if you know you have to wake up early the next morning, but theres just always so much to do. This is where I would insert the emoji with the face of pain, sadness, and regret. Happy alarm setting everyone. Get some Zzz's.

My phone always gets the full amount of snoozes before I get up.
ReplyDeleteMy eight-year-old just got her first alarm clock. It's hot pink and doubles as a iPod dock, so she loves it. The thing is, she won't stop setting it. And she sets it for really weird hours. 8 p.m. 3 a.m. The thing keeps going off. If I'm sleeping, I'm so confused I think it's a fire alarm and panic. If I'm awake, I think it's the microwave timer. It's throwing everything off. Alarm clocks. Sure, they are a sign of adulthood, which is why a kid loves them. But for real adults, blech.
ReplyDeleteI HATED hearing that noise in high school (5:35 a.m.!). It was and still is just so jarring. I totally agree with you.
ReplyDeleteProfessor Jakiela - Awe thats adorable, and I'm quite jealous of that alarm/ ihome. And Kelsey I know its horrible, and to think we'll probably be setting them for the rest of our lives. UGH
